The Kaspersky Total Suite 2020 product page listed Malwarebytes is not compatible. I did some actual research and Kaspersky and malwarebytes were compatible with each other before, but recently (not sure how long ago) there were updates that caused both programs not to be compatible with each other. So, I ran Kaspersky Scan one last time before uninstalling it and got two BSODS back to back. It got me thinking, my guy from memoryexpress told me about conflicting antivirus programs. "Check your antivirus program such as KASPERSKY or bitdefender because uninstalling did help". It is getting so bad that I searched it up and there was one line that got my attention. So, I wanted to use it.įast forward today, the past few couple months I've been getting BSOD's (Driver irql less or not equal error, System Thread Exception Not Handled, and KMODE exception Not Handled) so everytime my computer wakes up from being black screen, I get a BSOD after a minute or so when I immediately use it. I didn't pay too much attention to it because I paid for two programs. Then fast forward to January this year, I brought my desktop to get it fixed in Memoryexpress, the guy I talk to realized I had two antivirus programs installed and told me that Windows defender is fine enough, but if I am insistent enough having a anti virus program, you only need the one anti virus program because usually two antivirus programs conflict with each other and may cause problems in the future. Staples installed both Kaspersky and malwarebytes as part of a student thing, obviously I paid more money for it, but I wanted to make sure my computer was safe in terms of security.įast forward to 2019, I built my desktop and bought two anti virus programs. I did this because when I got my laptop back in 2017. Hi there, last year I made the terrible mistake by buying two antivirus programs ( 2year subscriptions) for my desktop last year, Kaspersky and Malwarebytes. I uninstalled Kaspersky and did not ran into problems. Tldr Having both Kaspersky Total Suite 2020 vs Malwarebytes Premium 4.2.0 cause BSOD's for my computer.
